6 test negative for H7

The Centre for Health Protection has received notification of two cases which fulfilled the reporting criteria of suspected human cases of Influenza A (H7), and four cases which did not fulfil the reporting criteria from noon yesterday to noon today. They all tested negative for the virus.
 
The two cases involve a 33-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man. They had visited Jiangsu and have tested negative for H7 virus. The other four cases also tested negative.
 
The total number of notifications since March 31, of cases which fulfilled the reporting criteria of suspected human cases of Influenza A (H7) are eight, and the total number of notifications which did not fulfil the reporting criteria are 14.
 
No confirmed human cases of Influenza A (H7N9) have been recorded so far.
