3 appointed to education committee

The Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education today announced three new members and ten re-appointed members for a two-year term starting from April 1. The three new members are Prof Lena Lee, Clement Woo and Wong Wai-kit.
 
The re-appointed members included Chairman Dr Joseph Lee, Prof Chan Shui-duen, Janice Choi, Chung Yam-cheung, Peter Ho, Lam Kwok-keung, Man Ka-lai, Melissa Kaye Pang, Andrew Wong and Adrian Yip.
 
The committee includes representatives from the Home Affairs Bureau, Education Bureau, Information Services Department, Department of Justice, Social Welfare Department, Police, Radio Television Hong Kong and the Independent Commission Against Corruption.
 
The committee is a non-statutory advisory body tasked with promoting civic education outside schools, using publicity and education programmes. It advises the Government on the objective and scope of civic education.
