Dragon Ginseng Enterprise Limited has been instructed to recall four proprietary medicines that are suspected to be unregistered, the Department of Health says.
The licensed wholesaler is to recall Dragon Ginseng Flavon, Dragon Ginseng Sapon, and Dragon Ginseng Ginseng Powder, in the 50-sachets-per-box and two-bottles-per-box formats.
The department found that none of these products had been registered with the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong. The products were manufactured in Malaysia and Dragon Ginseng Enterprise imported them to Hong Kong. Their labels indicate the products are to be used to relieve fatigue.
No related adverse reports have been received so far.
