Boy ill with severe influenza A

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a case of severe paediatric Influenza A affecting a 15-year-old boy.
 
He fell ill on February 17 and was admitted to Caritas Medical Centre yesterday.
 
He tested positive for Influenza A, and is in serious condition.
 
He was in the Mainland from February 7 to 16.
 
His family contacts are asymptomatic.
