FarmFest 2013, the largest outdoor farmers' market in Hong Kong, opened today in Fa Hui Park, Mong Kok, showcasing local agricultural and fishery products.
 
Local organic tomatoes and potatoes, hydroponic baby leaf vegetables, and jade perch are this year's theme produce.
 
More than 300 stalls will sell fresh organic fruit and vegetables, chilled fish, dried seafood and ornamental plants at the three-day carnival. Local delicacies, kitchenware, household goods and eco-friendly products will also be available.
 
A simulated old Hong Kong pier lined with traditional shops selling local delicacies will create a nostalgic ambience. There will also be demonstrations of controlled environment hydroponic technology and interactive computer games on fish farming.
