Unregistered pharmaceuticals found
January 11, 2013
Police and Department of Health officers raided two retail shops selling unregistered pharmaceutical baby products in Aberdeen and Central today.
The products were mainly over-the-counter medicines that contained vitamins, or were for the relief of minor ailments, like colic, coughs, and colds.
Nurofen For Children, Nurofen for Children Singles, Nurofen Gel, and Calprofen, each containing ibuprofen, a Part I poison for fever and pain, were also found. These must be sold at pharmacies under the supervision of registered pharmacists.
The suspected products were sourced from outside Hong Kong.
