Music course applications open

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department Music Office’s Outreach Music Interest Courses are open for applications until January 23, providing more than 100 Chinese and Western musical instrument courses and music workshops.
 
There are four new courses for this term, including Traditional Chinese Wind Music, which introduces the unique structure, playing style, master works and great performers of traditional Chinese wind music such as bawu and hulushi, and Wonderful Music World of 4Bs, which introduces the lives and works of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and Bartok through interactive activities for parents and children.
 
The Introduction to Music Composition course caters to those who already have music theory training equivalent to Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Grade 5 and are aged 15 or above, to teach the basic skills of music composition.
 
Those who have completed the office's Introduction to Guitar Playing course, and are aged 15 or above, can participate in the Guitar Ensemble Playing course.
 
Conducted in Cantonese, the courses will be held from March to July.
