Police and Department of Health officers have arrested a man for selling an unregistered pharmaceutical product.
 
The 23-year-old was arrested in Mong Kok today after a complaint was made through the department's surveillance programme alleging that NOW Glucosamine & Chondroitin with MSM, was offered for sale on an auction website.
 
The product is an over-the-counter medicine used for joint pain, but is not registered with the Pharmacy & Poisons Board.
 
The department urged the public not to buy or use unregistered pharmaceutical products as they have not been evaluated by the board, and their safety, quality and efficacy may not be guaranteed.
 
People should stop using the product immediately and consult healthcare professionals if they feel unwell after using it.
