The Transport Department today launched 14-minute educational video
Safe Cycling: Rules & Tips.
The video has been cut into six abridged versions focusing on specific topics, like equipment, basic skills, and safety.
It looks at the safety checks required before setting off, and those needed while on the road.
It also has useful tips for motorists and pedestrians on the safe sharing of road space with cyclists.
The abridged versions are now available on the department’s
website. Copies of DVDs with the full version of the video will be distributed to schools.
