Suspect food agent not seen in HK

The Centre for Food Safety has not found the food additive known as "One Drop of Incense" on sale locally.
 
Secretary for Food & Health Dr York Chow told lawmakers today Mainland officials say the product, a flavour enhancer for soups, is only available for sale on the Mainland and has not been exported to Hong Kong.
 
The centre recently collected 67 hotpot soup base samples from the local market for chemical tests, covering metallic contamination, colouring matters, preservatives and antioxidants. All products were satisfactory.
