Animal welfare plan to launch

Chief Executive Donald Tsang says the Government is helping animal welfare groups implement the Trap-Neuter-Return trial programme.
 
In his 2011-12 Policy Address today, Mr Tsang said the Government will consult the District Councils on the matter.
 
He said there has been growing public concern about animal rights and welfare in recent years.
 
The Government will work with experts to examine ways to facilitate the adoption of stray cats and dogs by the public.
