Best actress award applauded

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So congratulates actress Deanie Ip for winning the best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival. Ms Ip won the Coppa Volpi for Best Actress award at the 68th Venice International Film Festival.
 
Mr So said this award is not only an international recognition of Ms Ip's outstanding achievement, but a testimony of the level of excellence of the  Hong Kong film industry.
 
Mr So also said the Government will continue to nurture talent to promoting its sustainable development in the industry, through the Create Hong Kong office and the Film Development Council.
 
Ms Ip received the best actress award for the film "Tao Jie" (A Simple Life), which depicts  the story of  her and the master she looked after.
