Chinese medicines recalled

The Department of Health today approved Han-Fang Chinese Medicine Company's recall of 16 Chinese herbal products found to contain plasticisers.
 
Twenty-one of the company's Sheng Foong Brand products are being recalled in Macau. The wholesaler said 16 of the 21 products are imported from Taiwan.
 
The department has not received any report of adverse incidents and has taken samples for analysis.
 
It said people using the products should seek medical advice if they feel unwell.
 
The company has set up a hotline, 2388 5988, for enquiries.
