Plasticiser found:  The Centre for Food Safety has ordered the recall of TOPVALU TV SALT Flavoured Instant Ramen Noodles, imported from Japan.

Japanese noodles recalled

The Centre for Food Safety has ordered the recall of TOPVALU TV SALT Flavoured Instant Ramen Noodles, imported from Japan.
 
Its soup powder sachet has been found to contain an excess level of plasticiser.
 
The retailer is JUSCO Supermarket Kornhill Store, while its exclusive distributor is Aeon Stores (HK). Its manufacturer is Aeon from Chiba, Japan, and the importer is AIC Merchandising (Japan). The affected batch is 5 x 93g packs, with an expiry date of October 6, 2011.
 
The centre has instructed the importer and retailer to stop sales of the batch and recall it. People should stop consuming it.
 
The importer has setup a hotline (2884 6888) for enquiries.
