The Centre for Food Safety has banned the import and supply of ITAMACHI KING OOLONG Tea Drink from the Mainland.
 
It ordered the complete recall of the product today, after it was found to be contaminated with plasticisers.
 
Mainland authorities have been informed of the test result.
 
Meanwhile, the centre also received notice from Taiwanese authorities that consignments of six kinds of food products, believed to be contaminated with plasticisers, had been distributed to Hong Kong.
 
The centre has contacted the importers involved, and will monitor the recall arrangements and collect samples for tests.
