Woman arrested for slimming drugs

A 40-year-old woman has been arrested for selling an unregistered slimming product containing banned substances.
 
The Department of Health said today she was found selling a product called Slimming Capsules which had been confirmed earlier to contain undeclared banned drug ingredients.
 
The drug was among five products found to contain sibutramine and its analogues, and three of them also contained phenolphthalein.
 
The other four products were Super Fat Burning Bomb, Super Fat Burning Bomb - Quick Result Slimming, Super Fat Burning Bomb - Reduce Fat on Abdomen & Waist Type, and Fat 2 & 1 Burners III Soft & Hard Gelatin Capsules Combination Pack.
