The Ministry of Health has notified the Centre for Health Protection of a confirmed human case of European avian-like H1N1 swine influenza A, involving a three-year-old boy in Jiangsu.
The boy has chronic renal disease and is on long term steroid treatment. He developed symptoms on December 31.
His close contacts are asymptomatic. The centre is maintaining close liaison with the ministry.
