Woman treated for drug-resistant bacterial infection

The Centre for Health Protection today said a 94-year-old woman has been treated for community-associated methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection and is now stable.

 

She came down with a fever, chills, coughing and shortness of breath on October 5 and was admitted to a private hospital the next day.

 

She was discharged October 12.
