The first meeting of the Financial Leaders Forum was held today.
Members discussed the future development of Hong Kong's listing platform.
Meeting forum members before the conference, Chief Executive Carrie Lam thanked them for helping to establish a credible financial system in Hong Kong.
The forum's establishment was proposed by Mrs Lam to provide a platform to discuss policy proposals to strengthen Hong Kong's position as an international financial centre.
Members also discussed the joint consultation by the Securities & Futures Commission and the Stock Exchange on the listing regulatory structure, and were briefed on the implementation of Financial Services Development Council reports.
Speaking to the media after chairing the meeting, Financial Secretary Paul Chan said members had a good discussion and will meet again in the next quarter.
