Secretary for Innovation & Technology Nicholas Yang visited Sham Shui Po today to take part in Sport For All Day activities and to understand district affairs.

Mr Yang visited Pei Ho Street Sports Centre to learn more about the public’s free use of recreation and sports facilities on Sport For All Day. He encouraged participants to stay healthy with regular exercise.

He watched demonstrations of netball, dancing and mini-volleyball, and joined a mini-tennis activity.

Mr Yang also met district councillors to listen to their views on using innovation and technology to address district issues and improve residents’ quality of life.

This was followed by a tour to two computer-themed malls, where Mr Yang visited shops and chatted with tenants to understand their businesses and challenges faced by small and medium enterprises.

Mr Yang said he is familiar with computer malls in the district, adding his first job after graduation focused on computer chips.

He said he will visit other districts with his Under Secretary and Political Assistant, to get in touch with various sectors and the community.
