Financial Secretary John Tsang has appointed Edward Cheng as a Non-Executive Director of the Securities & Futures Commission for two years from January 1, 2017.
Mr Tsang made the appointment under the authority delegated by the Chief Executive.
The Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau said Mr Cheng, with his wealth of expertise and experience in corporate governance and public services, will provide invaluable contribution to the work of the commission.
It also thanked the outgoing Non-Executive Director Prof Leonard Cheng for his contribution over the past six years.
Chaired by Carlson Tong, the commission’s other serving Non-Executive Directors are Albert Au, Lester Garson Huang, Teresa Ko, Mary Ma, Dr William Wong and Dr Kelvin Wong.
