The Government today welcomed the World Bank's assessment which ranks Hong Kong as the world's fourth-easiest place to do business.
In a statement, the Government said this reaffirmed its incessant efforts in business facilitation, adding that it will continue to work closely with the business sector and other stakeholders to reform regulatory regimes to ensure regulation is appropriate.
According to the World Bank's Doing Business 2017 report released yesterday, the top five performers are New Zealand, Singapore, Denmark, Hong Kong and Korea.
The report compares the ease of doing business in 190 economies across 10 indicators.
