Financial Secretary John Tsang has urged lawmakers to pass the Copyright Amendment Bill during the Legislative Council meeting on March 2.
Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So said yesterday that the Government will withdraw the bill if it is not passed by LegCo next week.
After a radio programme today, Mr Tsang told reporters that the bill is supported by the industry and the legal profession, adding that its passage is important for the local economy.
He expressed hope that the pan-democrats filibustering the bill could learn more about it and support it.
