IT services views sought

February 23, 2016

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer today released a consultation paper inviting views from the information technology industry on the procurement of government IT professional services.

The current procurement arrangement, the Standing Offer Agreement for Quality Professional Services 3 will expire in July next year and a new arrangement is being drawn up.

The office said it strives to continue fostering the local IT industry's development, particularly the participation of small and medium enterprises in government IT projects through the procurement arrangement.

As at December last year, more than 700 service contracts were awarded under the agreement with an accumulated contract value of more than $600 million, covering services including feasibility studies, systems analysis & design, system implementation, system maintenance, information security and independent testing.

The consultation paper can be downloaded here

The consultation ends on March 15.
