Gregory So to depart for Canada

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So will depart for Toronto and Vancouver tomorrow.

 

During his stay in Toronto on February 10 and 11, he will visit a business incubator and a non-profit organisation which provides training and coaching on entrepreneurship for youths.

 

He will speak at a business roundtable and meet the Minister of International Trade of Canada Chrystia Freeland to sign the Investment Promotion & Protection Agreement between Hong Kong and Canada.

 

On February 12 Mr So will visit an independent agency in Vancouver which promotes the development of creative industries in British Columbia, and meet government officials there.

 

He will also pay courtesy calls on the Chinese Consuls-General in Toronto and Vancouver, and meet the Hong Kong communities in those cities.

 

Mr So will return to Hong Kong on February 14. Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Godfrey Leung will be the Acting Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development during Mr So's absence.
