Financial Secretary John Tsang will visit the United States from October 5 to 8 before heading to Peru to attend the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group annual meetings as a member of the Chinese delegation.
Mr Tsang will visit technology start-ups in New York and speak at an Asia Society seminar. In Washington, he will meet US officials and prominent finance figures.
From October 9 to 11, he will attend the IMF and World Bank Group annual meetings in Lima, Peru and meet his counterparts, including Federal Reserve Board of Governors chair Janet Yellen.
Before returning to Hong Kong, Mr Tsang will attend a Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in New York reception at the Museum of Chinese in America on October 12.
Financial Services & the Treasury Secretary Prof KC Chan will act as Financial Secretary during his absence.
