Financial Secretary John Tsang ended his European trip by inspecting food trucks' operation in Frankfurt, Germany today.
He visited food trucks and stalls in Konstablerwache and tried the popular local food from a food truck.
"I put forward the proposal in this year's Budget to introduce food trucks in Hong Kong, hoping to attract more overseas tourists to Hong Kong. The experience of operation of German food trucks would be a good reference for Hong Kong," he said.
The Commerce & Economic Development Bureau in collaboration with other departments is studying the idea.
Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong tomorrow.
