The Monetary Authority has issued an alert on a fraudulent email purporting to be sent from HSBC.
The email asks recipients to use an embedded hyperlink connecting to a fraudulent website (such as http://fitnesspilatesandmore.com/2) that asks them to input personal data, such as their ID card number and credit card information.
The bank has clarified it has no connection with the email and the site.
Anyone who has provided personal information to the website or has conducted financial transactions through it should contact the bank on 2233 3000 or Police on 2860 5012.
