The Monetary Authority has issued an alert on fraudulent emails purporting to be sent from Hang Seng Bank.
The emails ask recipients to use an embedded hyperlink to connect to fraudulent websites such as "paulettemarieb.com/wp-includes/error_log.php" and "dolbergdentistry.com/wp-admin/maint/maint/hgb/", and provide their personal information.
The bank has clarified that it has not sent the emails and has no connection with the fraudulent websites.
Anyone who has provided personal information to, or conducted any financial transactions through, the website should call the bank on 2822 0203 or Police.
