Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So will depart for Tianjin tomorrow to attend a series of events to promote Hong Kong and meet officials there.
Mr So is scheduled to attend the Hong Kong Film Week - Tianjin opening ceremony; the 2015 Hong Kong Trendy Products Expo, Tianjin launch; the Tianjin Hong Kong Brand Festival; and the Creative Hong Kong thematic exhibition.
The activities aim to foster business and cultural exchanges between the two places, and to promote Hong Kong's creativity and vibrancy to Tianjin.
Mr So will also visit the Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone to learn about its overall planning and attend a sharing session to exchange views with Hong Kong people and enterprises in Beijing and Tianjin.
Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Godfrey Leung will be Acting Secretary during Mr So's absence.
