Chief Executive CY Leung met Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Chairman Jiang Jianqing at Government House today.
Mr Leung said being the country's international financial and business centre, Hong Kong can act as a 'super-connector' in linking global enterprises with the Mainland market.
He said the Government will promote offshore renminbi businesses.
He also encouraged the bank to use Hong Kong as a platform to promote business beyond the Mainland.
