Financial Secretary John Tsang started his two-day visit to Zhuhai and Macau today, meeting officials and inspecting the progress of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.
On arrival in Zhuhai this afternoon, Mr Tsang went to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Authority where he was briefed on the bridge’s construction.
He then met Standing Committee Member of the CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee Liu Xiaolong, who is also the Executive Vice Mayor of Zhuhai.
Mr Tsang said he looked forward to the bridge’s completion, which will boost economic development and co-operation between Hong Kong and Zhuhai.
Mr Tsang later went to Macau to have dinner with Director General of the Macau Customs Service Choi Lai-hang.
Tomorrow Mr Tsang will attend the Seventh Hong Kong Macau Co-operation High Level Meeting.
