The Monetary Authority has issued an alert over an email purporting to be sent from the Standard Chartered Bank.
The email asks customers to use an embedded hyperlink which connects to a fraudulent website that asks for their personal data, such as credit card information.
The bank has clarified that it has not sent the emails and has no connection with the fraudulent website.
Anyone who has provided personal information to the website, or has conducted any financial transactions through it, should contact the bank at 2886 8868, or Police on 2860 5012.
