Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So has begun a six-day duty visit to Belgium and France.
 
Mr So attended a lunch hosted by Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade & European Affairs Didier Reynders, and met with the European Commission’s Director-General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology Robert Madelin.
 
He also paid a courtesy call on Chinese Ambassador to Belgium Liao Liqiang.
 
He then met with the Hong Kong business community in Belgium and board members of the Belgium-Hong Kong Society.
 
Mr So will speak at a luncheon in Paris co-organised by the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Brussels and the Trade Development Council for political leaders and the business community in France on May 29 .
 
That night, he will attend the ministerial dinner hosted by Norway, the Chair of the 2013 Ministerial Council Meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation & Development.
