ICT delegation to visit Beijing

A Hong Kong information and communications technology delegation will visit Beijing from today to June 1 to attend the 16th International Soft China Expo and promote ICT co-operation between the Mainland and Hong Kong.
 
Permanent Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development (Communications & Technology) Elizabeth Tse and the Government Chief Information Officer Daniel Lai are leading the delegation.
 
The expo is the largest annual national software trade show, and will be held from May 31 to June 2. 
 
A Hong Kong Pavilion will feature two thematic zones displaying award-winning products and digital innovation.
 
Quality products of Hong Kong enterprises, including software products awarded in the China Outstanding Software Product Awards election, will be showcased in an innovative, diversified and interactive fashion.
 
The China International Cloud Computing Service Innovation Forum will be organised at the expo and Mr Lai will speak at the forum's opening ceremony on June 1.
 
While in Beijing, the delegation will meet with the Ministry of  Industry & Information Technology's Director-General of the Department of Software & Information Service. The group will return to Hong Kong on June 2.
