Bigger HK presence set for Cannes

May 15, 2012
Hong Kong will erect its largest ever pavilion at this year's Cannes Film Festival to promote the city's movie productions.

The pavilion will be featured at the Marche du Film, the world's largest film market and part of the festival, which will be held May 16 to 25.

Located at the trade event's Riviera section, the pavilion will showcase exhibits from 11 Hong Kong film companies.

It will house a screening section, showing clips of Hong Kong productions, including the international award winning A Simple Life, and other films like Flying Swords of Dragon Gate 3D and the animated feature Yugo & Lala.

The pavilion will be presented by Create Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Film Development Council, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
