John Tsang to visit Taiwan

Financial Secretary John Tsang will lead a delegation to visit Taipei from May 14 to 16 to officiate at the opening of the Hong Kong Economic, Trade & Cultural Office.
 
He will attend in his capacity as the Honorary Chairperson of the Hong Kong-Taiwan Economic & Cultural Co-operation & Promotion Council.
 
Mr Tsang will also attend a large-scale publicity event organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board to tie in with the office's opening.
 
On May 15 Mr Tsang will meet Taiwan-Hong Kong Economic & Cultural Co-operation Council Chairman Lin Chen-kuo to review the outcomes achieved by the two councils since their establishment, and to exchange ideas on the way forward for developing further co-operation.
 
Mr Tsang will meet people from the economic, trade and financial sectors, and Taiwan officials. He will also visit Taiwan cultural and creative industries and facilities.
 
He will be joined by Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury KC Chan, Permanent Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Joshua Law, Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs Raymond Young, and Under Secretary for Security Lai Tung-kwok.
