The Environmental Protection Department recorded 17 convictions for pollution offences in November.

Two were for air pollution, six for noise, seven for waste disposal and two for water pollution.

The heaviest fine handed down last month was $20,000 against a company that contravened licence provisions under the water pollution control ordinance.
