The Hong Kong Observatory today launched a world weather information service website.
The worldweather.wmo.int site was developed and will be maintained by the obervatory on behalf of the World Meteorological Organisation to provide authoritative and reliable online weather information from national meteorological and hydrological services around the world.
The site integrates the latest web technologies, including geographical information systems, to provide features like a list of favourite cities and a tool for sharing weather forecasts.
The site will switch automatically to its mobile version when users visit it with mobile devices.
