Under the sky:  The award presentation ceremony for a competition to name the Hong Kong Observatory's mascot is held at the Museum of History.

HK Observatory expo opens

An exhibition commemorating the 130th anniversary of the Hong Kong Observatory opened today at the Museum of History.
 
Entitled “Hong Kong Observatory - Under the Same Sky 130 Years”, the exhibition is co-organised by the observatory and the Leisure & Cultural Services Department and will run until September 2.
 
Awards in a competition for naming the observatory's mascot were presented at the exhibition’s opening ceremony.
 
The selected entry - Dr Tin - represents the observatory's close monitoring of the weather.
 
The observatory will also invite experts to give talks at the exhibition.
