The Hong Kong Underwater Photo & Video Competition opened today, and invites entries until September 17.
Jointly organised by the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department and the Underwater Association, the
competition aims to promote the beauty of marine life and habitats in Hong Kong waters and enhance public awareness of conserving the marine environment.
Participants should hold a valid diving licence. All entries must feature marine ecology, habitats or marine life in Hong Kong waters and they must be taken during the period from October 1, 2011 to September 17.
The competition has photo and video categories.
The association will select a best underwater photographer and a best underwater videographer to represent Hong Kong and participate in overseas competitions.
