Chief Executive Carrie Lam has announced the establishment of a task force to study ways to boost land supply in Hong Kong.
Speaking ahead of today's Executive Council meeting, Mrs Lam said she has appointed 30 members to the Task Force on Land Supply for a term of 18 months.
She said the shortage of land supply is a pressing problem, adding the task force will review the Government’s land supply strategy and study other land supply options.
Besides considering measures to boost land supply, Mrs Lam said the Government is studying housing policies, adding she hopes proposals can be made in time for October's Policy Address.
