Chief Executive Carrie Lam says she has an open and positive attitude towards reopening the area known as "Civic Square" outside the Central Government Offices.
Meeting the media today, she said the Government is considering reopening the East Wing Forecourt of the Central Government Offices, and is reviewing management and security issues.
She expects the review to be completed in three months.
On Internet media arrangements for official events, Mrs Lam said the Director of Information Services has studied the arrangement mechanism and will liaise with the Hong Kong Journalists Association and other media bodies.
She said she hopes these issues, which are under judicial review, will be settled soon.
The Government will solve controversial issues by listening to public views, she added.
