Financial Secretary John Tsang has resigned.

In a statement, the Chief Executive's Office said Chief Executive CY Leung received Mr Tsang's resignation today and has submitted it to the Central People's Government.

Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan will be Acting Financial Secretary after Mr Tsang goes on leave tomorrow.
