Chief Executive CY Leung attended the 15th HK-PRD Industrial & Commercial Circle Goodwill Gathering in Shenzhen.
Mr Leung said the Pearl River Delta has long been Hong Kong’s major partner.
Its development of highly productive and strong scientific-research-based industries creates great room for co-operation with Hong Kong, which can play an important super-connector role.
He witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on co-operation by representatives of the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Federation of Hong Kong Industries.
Mr Leung also met with students from the Vocational Training Council who are on an exchange visit to Shenzhen.
He told them to have an international vision for their future career and apply their knowledge to their jobs.
