CE to attend APEC meeting

Chief Executive CY Leung will leave for Peru on November 17 to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation 2016 Leaders' Week.

 

The theme of this year’s meeting is "Quality Growth & Human Development" with four priorities, namely advancing regional economic integration and quality growth; enhancing regional food market; promoting the modernisation of micro, small and medium enterprises in the Asia-Pacific; and developing human capital.

 

Mr Leung will attend the APEC CEO Summit on November 19, during which President Xi Jinping will deliver a speech.

 

He will also attend the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and the APEC Business Advisory Council Dialogue, as well as meet with leaders of other economies.

 

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will be Acting Chief Executive during his absence.
