The Government will hold an official ceremony at the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park on November 12 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birthday of Dr Sun Yat-sen.
Chief Executive CY Leung will join 2,000 people at the ceremony, including senior government officials, judicial officers, members of the Executive and Legislative councils and other guests.
Starting at 10am, the ceremony will include a bouquet presentation by the Chief Executive and student representatives, bowing in tribute to Dr Sun, a grand parade and salute by the disciplined services and uniformed groups.
There will also be a performance by the Police Band and singing of the national anthem by the St Paul's Co-educational College choir.
No public viewing area will be set. Radio Television Hong Kong will provide a live broadcast of the ceremony.
