Chief Executive CY Leung met German Deputy Federal Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs & Energy Sigmar Gabriel at the Chief Executive's Office today.

Noting Hong Kong and Germany enjoy close economic and trade ties, Mr Leung said the city, as an international financial centre, can act as a super-connector for German enterprises to connect with the Mainland and Asian markets.

He said he hopes both sides strengthen exchanges and co-operation to explore more business opportunities by leveraging Hong Kong's huge development potential in the Belt & Road initiative.
