Financial Secretary John Tsang will lead a delegation to Kazakhstan from September 13 to 17 to strengthen Hong Kong's business and economic ties with the country.
It will be the first business delegation to Kazakhstan organised by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
Mr Tsang will meet Kazakh officials to discuss opportunities under the Belt & Road Initiative.
He will also meet representatives from the banking, stock exchange and aviation industries.
Mr Tsang will attend business luncheons organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in Astana and Almaty.
He will deliver speeches outlining Hong Kong's strengths as an international financial and commercial centre, which can help Kazakh enterprises tap into international markets.
Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan will act as Financial Secretary during Mr Tsang's absence.
