Chief Executive CY Leung visited Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile (National School of Civil Aviation) in Toulouse yesterday.

Mr Leung, Secretary for Transport & Housing Anthony Cheung, Secretary for Innovation & Technology Nicholas Yang and Hong Kong student delegates listened to a presentation by the school.

They toured the institute's human machine interface laboratory, air traffic control simulator and pilot training simulator. Mr Leung also tested out the pilot training simulator.

The National School of Civil Aviation is France's only university dedicated to aviation studies and is Europe's largest aeronautics and civil aviation college.

Mr Leung said he hopes the visit brings some new insight to Hong Kong's civil aviation academy in training aviation practitioners.

The delegation then toured Airbus, visiting its final assembly line and mock-up centre.
